he highlight of the 2025 FKIP ULM History Week was marked by a History Seminar under the theme “Building Historical Awareness among Generation Z through an Understanding of the Values of Struggle in the Banjar War.” The seminar was held on September 18, 2025, at the Pramuka Building of the Banjarmasin City Scout Council Headquarters.
The seminar featured two inspiring speakers: Drs. Hairiyadi, M.Hum., a historian and member of the Cultural Heritage Expert Team of Banjarmasin City, and Mursalin, M.Pd., a lecturer at UIN Antasari and an alumnus of the History Education Department.
Through this seminar, young generations were encouraged to rediscover historical knowledge and the spirit of struggle embodied in the Banjar War as an essential foundation for building historical awareness in the contemporary era. The closing session was further enlivened by a group photo session with the winners of the competitions that had enriched the series of events of the 2025 History Week. Let us continue to weave the traces of history to strengthen national identity and embrace world civilization.
