The History Education Department, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (ULM), conducted a Socialization and Reconstruction of the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) Curriculum on Monday, August 4, 2025. Held at the Old Meeting Room on the second floor of FKIP ULM, the event featured Dr. Heri Susanto, M.Pd. as the main speaker and was attended by lecturers, school teachers and other stakeholders, students, and alumni.
This activity served as a concrete step in responding to global dynamics and the rapid advancement of technology. The discussion focused on restructuring the curriculum to ensure greater relevance to contemporary demands, including the strengthening of digitally oriented courses and the integration of the university’s and faculty’s vision and mission into the curriculum framework.
The discussion also emphasized the importance of aligning course content with the actual needs of the education sector, particularly at the senior high school level and its equivalents. Input from various stakeholders was accommodated to prevent overlap or misalignment of course materials and to ensure that graduates’ competencies are truly aligned with professional educational practice.
Through this initiative, the History Education Department of FKIP ULM reaffirmed its commitment to developing a curriculum that is adaptive, relevant, and outcomes-based. It is expected that the results of this curriculum reconstruction will produce graduates who are resilient, innovative, and responsive to the challenges of the times.
