Students of the History Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Lambung Mangkurat University, conducted a Field Practicum Study Visit to Udayana University, Bali, in 2024. Held in the Dr. Ir. Soekarno Room, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, this activity served as part of a program to strengthen academic insight and foster inter-university scientific networks. During the visit, students were invited to discuss contemporary issues in historical studies, cultural preservation, and the challenges of history teaching in the digital age with faculty members from the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Udayana University.
A warm and enthusiastic atmosphere characterized the session, which featured an exchange of ideas and experiences, covering both curriculum and teaching methods, as well as student research. This activity also provided a reflective opportunity for students to broaden their perspectives on historical scholarship, from local to national contexts. The presence in the room named after the Indonesian Proclaimer, Ir. Soekarno, added a historical and inspiring touch to the event. It is hoped that this study visit will not only provide students with new knowledge but also motivate them to build cross-campus collaborations and actively contribute to the preservation of the nation’s history and culture.
